May 6, 1863. More rain.

"6th. More rain. The 15th Regt. is ordered to the Rappahannock. Come fifty miles from this place to guard the railroad. They were to go this afternoon, but the river Bull Run will not allow them to pass. Hard fighting at Fredericksburg to-day."  Diary of Oliver A. Browne, Co. K, 15th Regiment
